There are roughly two miles of beaches, a very spacious campground with a brand new Conference Center, and a Lodge to greet you on your arrival at the Gulf State Park. The gorgeous white sand and surging surf make for a good day at the beach where there are seagulls overhead and many activities to take part in. People who come here usually return as they have enjoyed all of their previous visits.

Take the whole family paddling and swimming in Lake Shelby or to the nature center. The nature center is open daily from 9 a.m to 4 p.m and has a live museum of animals and plants that are native to the Gulf Coast Area. Kids can meet and greet animals face to face and see plants they might never see anywhere else in the world. The nature center aims to inspire everyone to take better care of the environment by giving nature walks, pier walks, beach walks, and nature time.
