Roadtrek CS
Ram ProMaster Chassis
The Ram ProMaster chassis is an ideal fit with the CS Adventurous by Roadtrek. It’s a purpose-built, full-size van from Europe that has been engineered to handle the long, winding roads and rugged terrain of North America while providing maximum living space and camper comfort. Up front, you are treated to a spacious passenger area that features the latest in technology and safety features, including touchscreen radio with CD/DVD player and optional satellite radio, five-inch gauge cluster display, voice-activated navigation system, ParkView rear backup camera with active grid lines and more.
Your passengers will enjoy comfortable seats along with plenty of legroom. The driver’s seat also swivels around giving you even more seating when you reach your destination.
V-6 gas engine
The Roadtrek CS is available with a V-6 gas engine. This engine gets a combined 18 miles per gallon in the city and highway. With 280 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft of torque, the gas engine has plenty of get-up-and-go. It requires regular unleaded gasoline, so there's no need to hunt down special fuels when you're on the road or at home. The fuel tank holds up to 25 gallons, which means you can go for quite a while without having to stop and refuel.

Floor plans
The floor plan for the Roadtrek CS Adventurous in particular is a two-level wonder. The living room (and overhead sleeping areas) sit on top; the kitchenette sits on the bottom along with a dining area that can be converted into a bedroom or office space.
On one side of this spacious vehicle there's a sink, refrigerator, stove/oven combo with three burners and also plenty of storage space underneath that you can access from either inside or outside the campervan. Plus: not one but two queen beds! In front there's an overhead cabinet that runs nearly the entire length of this van (it keeps your stuff organized while you're driving). In back there's another closet with lots more storage space and an overhead compartment to store even more stuff if needed.

16mpg city/23mpg highway, 4 Wheel ABS Disc Brakes and Power Steering
The Roadtrek CS Adventurous is rated at an average 16mpg city/23mpg highway. With its 23-gallon fuel capacity, this means you can drive approximately 368 miles at a highway speed before refueling. The van is notable for its 4 Wheel ABS disc brakes with self-adjusting brakes and a wear indicator, power steering and tilt/telescoping steering wheel.
Galley with sink, induction cooktop and convection microwave
The Roadtrek CS Adventurous is built on the famed Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van chassis. This is a full-size van that offers a lot of room inside, comfortable riding and handling, safety features and good gas mileage. The CS Adventurous has the ability to sleep up to four people with the optional power sofa that converts into two twin beds or one queen size bed. The galley includes a sink, induction cooktop, convection microwave and under counter refrigerator freezer (3 cu ft).
Dometic 7 cu ft refrigerator
This rv has the Dometic 7 cu ft refrigerator. It is powered by a 3.6L V-6 gas engine and has 4 wheel ABS disc brakes, power steering, and a galley with sink, induction cooktop and convection microwave. The gas engine must have 20 gallons of fresh water in its tank to run correctly.
Gray Water Tank Yes (20 Gallons) and Black Water Tank Yes (10 Gallons)
- Gray Water Tank Yes (20 Gallons)
- Black Water Tank Yes (10 Gallons)
Gray water is used water from the kitchen sink, shower and bathroom sink. Black water refers to toilet waste. When dumping the black tank, you may want to add some liquid soap or dishwashing liquid down the drain before flushing it out with a hose of fresh water. You will also want to dump your gray/black tanks at least every two days if you are camping in an RV park or campground that offers full hookups for RVs. If you are camping in a remote location and don't have access to public restrooms, you might want to extend the time between dumpings, but remember not to let your tanks get too full since that could cause plumbing problems.
Conclusion
So if you’re the type who wants to roam where you like, when you like, then I think that a Roadtrek CS might be just what your looking for. And don’t let its small size fool you; it is surprisingly roomy and packed with amenities. Even though this is definitely a step up from the modest “van life” movement, it does have its limitations (like all of them do). But in terms of comfort and style, there are very few others that can compare. The Roadtrek CS has a starting price tag between $150,000 and $200,000, which is a lot to pay for any vehicle. This van isn't designed for full-time living or long-term travel, at least not on the scale that some vanlifers require. However if you want an RV or campervan but don't want to feel trapped in your home on wheels...then this could be the perfect option for you. If nothing else, maybe check out their website so you can dream about having one even if you never will.
